The Parks and Recreation Department did request our assistance in acquiring lands lying within Rock Creek and south of an existing water easment for the Rock Creek Drainage Program. The applicant has been contacted about this request, and staff expects a reply shortly. The request is compatible with surrounding land use and zoning, and the use is an existing concrete plant. The purpose of the request is to:permit construction of a flood proof structure on the property. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff has had no further word relative to the Parks Department request for acquisition of the lands lying within the Rock Creek area. Staff recommends approval. COMMISSION ACTION The applicant was present, and there were no objectors. After a brief discussion, the Commission moved to approve the application as filed. The Commission moved to defer to Mav 26. The motion was passed - 11 ayes, 0 noes.
