Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant Staff Recommendation: The proposed addition to the existing Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant would under the ordinance specifications require an additional ten parking spaces at the rate of one space per 100 square feet of gross floor area. The applicant states that the business does not require that much parking and that additional parking is not available. Staff recommends approval. Board Action: The applicant was present and there was one objector. The objector spoke in opposition to the request on the basis of a sewer problem which she has been having for some time. The Board of Adjustment told the objector, Ms. Mary Powell, that they were not empowered to deal with the sewer issue, and that the subject of the hearing was the parking variance being requested. After some further discussion, the Board moved to approve the application as filed. The motion was passed: 6 ayes, 0 noes and 1 absent.
