PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS
No adverse 'comments have been received from any reviewing
agency. Right-of-way and street improvements will be
required. A portion of the property is occupied by an
automobile repair facility, and the owner proposes an office
for the southern lot.
The Board of Directors approved the amendment to the
Suburban Development Plan recommended by the Planning
Commission, calling for this property to be shown as
office, so the proposed zoning is compatible with the
Suburban Development Plan as amended.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval.
COMMISSION ACTION
The applicant was present and there were no objectors. The
applicant stated that he wished the north portion of this
property known as "Lot 1" to be deferred to the April 28
meeting so that it could be readvertised for proposed zoning
to "C-4" Open Display.
The Commission moved to defer that matter, and the motion
was passed: 9 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent.
Upon request of the applicant, the Commission did act on the
proposed rezoning of Lot 2, Hinson Place, the southern
portion of this property, to "O-3" General Office. The
motion was pased: 9 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent.

It was the second time in a row that the applicant failed to
appear for the meeting. The Commission began action to
recommend zoning the property "0-3" General Office, and in
its first action it voted on the application as filed to
zone the property for "C-4" Open Display. That motion
failed on a vote of 0 ayes, 9 noes and 2 absent. A second
motion recommending approval of "0-3" General Office zoning
was presented, and it failed for lack of a second. The
application was therefore declared to have been denied.
