No adverse comments have been received from any reviewing
agency. Shortiv after this property was platted, it was
annexed into the City. The owner's attorney filed a zoning
request asking for the "I-1" zoning granted. He did this
relying upon the "industrial park" name associated with the
district without looking closely at the development criteria
and permitted uses. The platting of the property clearly
does not meet the "I-1" criteria, and the applicant says
that some of the potential uses of the property are not
allowed in the "I-1" District.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
The applicant was present, and there were no objectors.
After a brief_ discussion, the Commission moved to approve
the application as filed. The motion was passed: 10 ayes,
0 noes and 1 absent.
