Present Use of Property: Proposed Use of Property: Vacant office Building Staff Recommendation: The proposed development will create a second building which essentially will be a twin to the existing One Financial Centre recently dedicated by Fausett and Company. The property is zoned "C-3" General Commercial, and the oriqinal building required a similar height waiver. There is disagreement between staff and the applicant as to whether changing the zoning from Commercial to "0-2" Office and Institutional is more appropriate than allowing the height waiver required in the "C-3" District. Further comment will be forthcoming at the Board meeting. (This is due to the timing at which this subject will be explored further.) There is no specific recommendation at this time. July 29, 1980 Item No. 1 - Z-3487 - DEFERRED Owner: Dr. Wesley Wise Applicant: James Hathaway Request: Rezone to Various Districts Location: Southwest Corner of Shackleford and Kanis Roads STAFF COMMENT: The applicant has written and requested that this matter be withdrawn from the Planning Commission Agenda with the proviso that a future application may be filed at any time. Staff recommends approval of the withdrawal and the waiver of the Planning Commission's policy that withdrawals must wait one year for reapplication. COMMISSION ACTION: The Commission moved to approve the withdrawal of this item without prejudice whereby the applicant may reapply prior to the expiration of one year. The motion was passed - 8 ayes, 0 noes and 3 absent.
