Walter, We have a couple of remaining issues with the maps the planning commission has produced showing the proposed zoning designations for the southeast ETJ area. I noticed today was the last day to provide comments or questions on the website. Most of the proposed zoning areas look good, but we believe the following changes should be made: Tract 35R0040000700 within Area 7 on the Arch to I-530 map should remain Mining. It includes the top of the hill currently being quarried and will be quarried in the future. Tract 35R0040002700 within Area 7 on the Arch to I-530 map is currently used for grazing. I would recommend either zoning it Mining since it is part of our property, or maybe something fitting grazing better than RL? Tracts 35R0090005700 & 35R0160000100 within Area 15 on the Arch to I-530 map should be zoned Mining. It has an open pit and plant location. It has been quarried in the past and likely will be in the future. Part of tract 35R0250007800. What looks like the south 50' to 100' of the NE SW, Section 25, 1N, R12W just to the north of Area 3 on the Sweet Home - Higgins map there appears to be a strip of PK/OS. This should be Mining. Please don’t hesitate to give me a call or respond with any further questions regarding our plans or opinions on this zoning. Thanks, Edward Jackson (501) 944-9081 McGeorge Contracting Co., Inc. E. You either attended one of the ‘Drop-in Meetings’ and/or made contact via the city website on the Land Use Plan review the City is currently undertaking southeast of the City in the Extra-territorial area. Staff has reviewed the comments received at the meetings, via the internet, or US mail and a new/revised set of changes have been developed. 2 Exhibits illustrating potential map amendments can be found on the City of Little Rock’s website www.littlerock.gov\ETJ . We would like to hear if you have any comments about the proposed changes. You can provide comments or offer suggestions on the Future Land Use Plan Map review for the ETJ via the comment link provided on the site. We are receiving comments through mid-August. A final package of changes will then be developed for presentation to the Little Rock Planning Commission at a public hearing in the fall. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.
