Dear Property Owner:
The City of Little Rock has been reviewing the Future Land Use Map in the southern extra
territorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The ETJ are lands outside of the City of Little Rock limits, but where
the City has land use and subdivision controls authority granted by the State. The Future Land
Use Map is used by the Planning Commission to inform future land use and zoning decisions (see
the Future Land Use Map FAQ sheet on the City’s website). As a part of this review of the map
some possible changes have been identified. Staff would like to share these with the community
and get comments on the Future Land Use Map prior to proposing a package of changes to the
Planning Commission and Little Rock Board of Directors.
Exhibits illustrating potential map amendments can be found on the City of Little Rock’s website
www.littelrock.gov. You can provide comments on the proposed amendments or other areas of
the ETJ shown on the Future Land Use Map. Comments can be mailed USPS to the City’s
address shown above or sent via the Comment link on the City’s website.
Staff has scheduled two public meetings where you can review the Future Land Use Map and
possible amendments. Comments may also be left at these meetings. The meetings will be
‘drop-by’ meetings (no formal presentations) where you are welcome to come at your pleasure
during the scheduled time.

As the City has limited resources for this effort, notice letters are being sent out to half the
residents within the boundaries of the subject area under review. If you are receiving this letter, it
is likely your neighbor did not, so please share this information with your neighbors and feel free
to contact us for additional information or clarification.
