3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH NORTH AMERICA FIRE EQUIPMENT
5 COMPANY, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
6 TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE
7 DOLLARS ($125,881.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR
8 THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS, PANTS
9 AND PARTICULATE BLOCKING HOODS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
10 FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need for Protective Coats, Pants and Particulate
13 Blocking Hoods; and,
14 WHEREAS,the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving
15 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee; and,
16 WHEREAS, Vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
17 032620-LIO for the purchase of forty-nine(49)Protective Coats at a cost of One Thousand,Five Hundred
18 Eleven Dollars ($1,511.00) and forty-nine (49) Pants at a cost of One Thousand, Fifty-Eight Dollars
19 ($1,058.00); and,
20 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand,
21 Eight Hundred Eighty-One Dollars($125,881.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with North America Fire Equipment
25 Company, Inc. for the purchase of Firefighting Protective Coats and Pants for the Little Rock Fire
26 Department in the amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand,Eight Hundred Eighty-One
27 Dollars($125,881.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
28 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the Department's General Fund, Account
29 No. 105120-60030,and ACT 833 Special Project,Account No. 210519-500B250.
30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
34 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
