HomeMy WebLinkAbout15820 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,820 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VERMEER MIDSOUTH, IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, THREE HUNDRED NINETY 6 THOUSAND,FORTY-THREE AND 95/100 DOLLARS($1,390,43.95),PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 8 TG7000 TUB GRINDER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, 9 LANDFILL DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Landfill Division has a need to purchase one(1)TG7000 12 Tub Grinder to replace an older unit that has caused excessive maintenance costs and down-time; and, 13 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No. 14 050119-VRM;and, 15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is One Million,Three Hundred Ninety Thousand, Forty- 16 Three and 95/100 Dollars($1,390,043.95),plus applicable taxes and fees. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Vermeer Midsouth, in an 20 amount not to exceed One Million, Three Hundred Ninety Thousand, Forty-Three and 95/100 Dollars 21 ($1,390,043.95),plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of purchase one(1)TG7000 Tub Grinder 22 to be used by the Public Works Department Landfill Division. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act, Account No. 24 271409-72200-G0601 AR40A. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
