I will sign off on the back yard fence only. This does not include any modification, removing or improvements
to the front iron fence along 5th, the iron fence abutting the parking lot of QQA nor the white painted wood
fence on the east side of the building.
When do you plan to start? I will do some drivebys to check on the progress.

By your sketch, the solid lines are the new fence. The fence on the west side of the bUilding will definitely
require a public hearing. They would be taking the historic iron fence out and replacing with wood. The fence
on the east side is going from wood to wood, but the profile of the pickets is changing and probably the height,
thus a public hearing on that.

I can sign off on the fence in the back of the property. It is not seen from the street. If they would like to start
on that, they may. I will need to sign off on the permit. They will no issue you a fence permit at that location
without something from the HDC.
Let me know what your client wants to do.

I will go by and take a look at it. If it was to be exactly like the one that was already there, I might be able to
say it was maintenance. But if it changes style, that would definitely be a public hearing on it. Will email back
after my field trip.

It appears that the fence will be visible from the street. In that
case, it will require a public hearing. I have attached a link to the
application from our website. Your next deadline is June 7th for
filing to be heard at the July 8, 2013 public hearing. Please forward
this on to your client.

Please see the attached proposal, this fence will match the existing fence next
door at the Little Rock vistors center. I did not get a name when I called late
time. Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks
Carol

I am the Staff person for the Little Rock Historic District Commission. We are
housed in the City of Little Rock Planning and Development office (where you get
your fence permits citywide). The property at 610 E 6th Street is definitely in the
MacArthur Park Local Ordinance Historic District. Please send me your fence plans
to me. I can see if they will require a public hearing for installation or not.
Who did you talk to two weeks ago? This has been in the district for about 20
years.
