Home My WebLink About15810 RESOLUTION NO. 15,810 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, IN 5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE AND 64/100 DOLLARS 7 (8586,553.64), FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY 8 IMPROVEMENTS AT INTERSTATE PARK AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Interstate Park roadway is in disrepair and need of extensive improvements; and, 12 WHEREAS,pursuant to a Bid No. 1,516 the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ("the City") solicited the 13 services of qualified Contractors for the construction of a roadway, drainage and site work improvements 14 at Interstate Park; and, 15 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group was the sole responsive and responsible bid meeting 16 specifications for the project with a base bid of Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty- 17 Three and 64/100 Dollars($546,553.64),which includes a contingency amount of Forty Thousand Dollars 18 ($40,000.00); and, 19 WHEREAS,funding in the amount of Five Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars($535,000.00)will 20 be provided from Short-Term Financing, Account No. 325459-F451003, with the remaining Fifty-One 21 Thousand,Five Hundred Fifty-Three and 64/100 Dollars($51,553.64),provided from the American Rescue 22 Plan Act Funds, Account No. 271459-G002AR45A. 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Redstone Construction Group 26 in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty-Three and 64/100 27 Dollars ($586,553.64), to provide the necessary road construction, drainage and site improvements to 28 Interstate Park. 29 Section 2. Funding in the amount of Five Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars($535,000.00)will 30 be provided from Short-Term Financing, Account No. 325459-F451003, with the remaining Fifty-One 31 Thousand,Five Hundred Fifty-Three and 64/100 Dollars($51,553.64),provided from the American Rescue 32 Plan Act Funds,Account No. 271459-G002AR45A. 33 Section 3. Severability.In the event any title,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this 34 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall [Page 1 of 21 1 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 2 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 3 Section 4.Repealer.
