HomeMy WebLinkAbout15805 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,805 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE MCPHERSON 5 COMPANIES, INC., IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 6 HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000.00), FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF OILS AND LUBRICANTS FOR THE FLEET SERVICES 8 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, held a Public Bid No. 997 and obtained three (3) 11 competitive bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of Oil and Lubricants for the Fleet Services 12 Department; and, 13 WHEREAS,in Little Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 15,330(November 2,2020),the Board of Directors 14 authorized the first year contract between the City of Little Rock (City) and The McPherson Companies, 15 Inc.,to provide Oils and Lubricants for use in various vehicles currently in the City's fleet; and, 16 WHEREAS,the contract provided the City with the initial term and an option to extend not more than 17 two (2), one (1)-year renewals for an annual budget amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand 18 Dollars($150,000.00); and, 19 WHEREAS,Fleet Services Department requests authorization to exercise the third and final renewal 20 option to purchase Oils and Lubricants from The McPherson Companies,Inc. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into the third and final contract term 24 extension with The McPherson Companies,Inc.,to provide Oils and Lubricants for use in various vehicles 25 currently in the City's fleet. 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the Fleet Services Parts Account No.600013-60310. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4.
