3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK. RESOLUTION NO.
4 15,300 (APRIL 6,2020), TO AMEND THE CONTRACT PRICE WITH MID-
5 SOUTH SALES,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION,FIVE
6 HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,500,000.00), TO ACCOUNT FOR
7 THE INCREASED COST OF FUEL AND GASOLINE FOR CITY
8 VEHICLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved the purchase of Fuel and Gasoline for use in various
11 vehicles in the City's fleet from Mid-South Sales with Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 15,300 (April 6,
12 2020); and,
13 WHEREAS,the contract approved was for a one(1)-year contract term with the option of two(2),one
14 (1)-year renewals for an annual amount not to exceed Three Million, Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
15 ($3,200,000.00); and,
16 WHEREAS, the City opted to renew the contract and is currently participating in its third term of
17 renewal;and,
18 WHEREAS, the exorbitant price of fuel has necessitated an increase in the contract amount of One
19 Million,Five Hundred Thousand Dollars($1,500,000.00).
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to amend the contract with Mid-South Sales to increase
23 the amount paid by the City for Fuel and Gasoline in an amount not to exceed One Million, Five Hundred
24 Thousand Dollars($1,500,000.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated as One Million Dollars($1.000.000.00)from the
26 Fleet Services Fuel Account No. 600011-60401; and Five Hundred Thousand Dollars($500,000.00)from
27 the Public Works Landfill Account No. 603110-60401.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, including but not limited to Little Rock, Ark.
34 Resolution No. 15,300(April 6,2020),or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with the provisions of this
35 resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
