Dear City Beautiful Commission Members:
Thank you for your support and the extra effort that each of
you directed toward my going away party.
The City Beautiful Commission has made a tremendous impact in
this city, and it has been my privilege to have played a
small role in that impact •
I am most appreciative -to have had the honor to work with all
the wonderful people who have selflessly served the
commission over the years.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Beautiful Commission is charged with the function of
undertaking projects to improve the physical appearance of the City, and
WHEREAS, the Commission requires occasional staff assistance to carry out this
responsibility, and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department provides staff to the
Commission in addition to carrying out its normal departmental functions, and
WHEREAS, Gayle Owens is the staff person normally assigned to assist the
Commission, and
WHEREAS, during the last fifteen years Gayle has conducted herself in her dealings
with the Commission in an extremely competent and professional manner, and
i EREAS, Gayle has further conducted herself in such a manner as to reflect well
upon both the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Parks and Recreation
Department, and
WHEREAS, City Beautiful Commissioners, both past and present, recognize the many
contributions and the outstanding loyalty that Gayle has brought to the Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS THAT
1. The Commissioners publicly recognize and thank Gayle Owens for the manner in
which she has conducted herself toward the Commission.
2. The Commissioners wish to officially communicate this appreciation to Gayle
Owens, the Director of the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department, and the
Mayor and the Directors of the City of Little Rock.
3. A copy of this resolution be placed in the appropriate personnel file immediately
upon adoption.
