Home My WebLink AboutCBC 09-04-1992Thy City Pe6utiful Commission City Beautiful Convention The City Beautiful Commission committee for the City Beautiful Convention held a meeting, September 4, 1992, in the conference room of the Parks and Recreation Department. Present were: Jo Rancifer, Chairman Truman Tolefree, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Eddie Cole, Recreation Program Manager, Parks and Recreation Becky Switzer, Executive Secretary, Parks and Recreation Discussion centered around when and where to hold the convention. Eddie Cole suggested using the University Park Adult Center because of the expected number attending this convention. Truman Tolefree stated that the Design Division of Parks and Recreation would be able to design a brochure to send out with applications to the different City Beautiful Commissions throughout the state. A registration fee of $25.00 was agreed upon, this fee will be used to provide a continental breakfast and a lunch for the one day meeting. The date of this convention has been tentatively set for March 19, 1993.
