HomeMy WebLinkAbout15764 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,764 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH ABM SUPPLY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 5 SIXTY-ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS 6 ($61,950.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF BINOCULAR NIGHT VISION DEVICES FOR THE 8 LITTLE ROCK FIRE BOMB SQUAD AND THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE 9 SWAT TEAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department Bomb Squad and the Little Rock Police SWAT Team 12 have a need for Binocular Night Vision Devices;and, 13 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several Emergency Service 14 Equipment Grants; and, 15 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process it was determined that ABM Supply provided the 16 lowest responsible bid of two(2)bids received for Bid No. 1660 for the purchase of six(6)Binocular Night 17 Vision Devices for an amount of Sixty-One Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($61,950.00), plus 18 applicable taxes and fees; and, 19 WHEREAS, 100% of the funding shall be provided through the State Homeland Security Grant 20 Program with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with ABM Supply for the purchase 24 of six (6) Binocular Night Vision Devices for an amount of Sixty-One Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty 25 Dollars($61,950.00),plus applicable taxes and fees. 26 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the State Homeland Security Grant Program 27 with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock, from Account No. 270519-G52P213, Thirty Thousand, 28 Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($30,950.00) and Account No. 270519-G51P211, Thirty Thousand, Nine 29 Hundred Fifty Dollars($30,950,00). 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
