HomeMy WebLinkAbout15758 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,758 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BILL'S FENCE COMPANY,IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUINDRED 6 TWENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS ($59,827.00), FOR PERIMETER FENCE 7 REPLACEMENT SERVICES AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo requests authorization to replace the six (6)-foot Perimeter Wood 11 Fence ehind the Zoo Maintenance Shop with an eight (8)-foot Wood Fence with new galvanized steel 12 posts w th baseplates and anchors to meet standards for perimeter fencing with the Association of Zoos and 13 Aquari ms;and, 14 REAS, after a competitive bidding process, Bid No. 1799, it was determined that Bill's Fence 15 Company, located in Cabot, Arkansas, was the sole bidder with a bid total of Fifty-Nine Thousand, Eight 16 Hundre Twenty-Seven Dollars($59,829.00); and, 17 REAS, funds for this project will be paid from the Zoo Upgrades Account 326659-72504- 18 TS65A 2; 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Bill's Fence Company of 22 Cabot, Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars 23 ($59,829.00),to replace the six(6)-foot Perimeter Wood Fence behind the Zoo Maintenance Shop with an 24 eight(8)-foot Wood Fence with new galvanized steel posts with baseplates and anchors. 25 SedIItion 2. The Project will be funded from the Zoo Upgrades Account 326659-72504-TS65A32. 26, S tion 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudi tion shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
