Id. 11eiskell, the following members being present; J. N. Heiskel.l Louis Tarlowski S. V. Bracy Charles Davis Sidney L. Kahn Mr. Edward G. Webster met with the Commission. Preliminary plan of rural subdivision "Rinke Garden litres", tract of approximately 70 acres bounded on the north by Base Line Road, and on the East by Uilaro Rprings Road, described as Ni., SH4/ NWJ and Fol. N1, NVIt, Section 5, T1S, R12W, having been previously approved by the County Planning Commission, it was also approved by the City Planning Commission. Thorough discussion was Made of preliminary revised subdivision "Thrift Addition" by H. F. Buhler, Fourche River Land Co., 19 acres more or less lying south of V1. 12th Street, just east of "Highland Park" FPHA Housing Development, described as Sa, NEC NE, Section 7, T1N, R12W, which had been submitted by Mr. Buhler. It was decided that the Planning; Commission will not approve until a plat conforming to adjacent streets and data recapitulated in an accompanying letter is presented in proper form. Opposition was voiced to the plat submitted as the streets in the planned subdivision do not tie in with streets in surrounding subdivisions. Discussing letter from Mr. S. Herbert Flare, it developed that the matter of securing the service of a consultant had been discussed at the previous meeting, your secretary having been absent from the Sm city at that time. Desirability of immediately securing a draftsman to collaborate and assist Mr. Webster in the Herculean task of assembling necessary data that will be definitely required for revampi-hg .existing master plan and subsequent rezoning, impelled the Commission to first acoept Mr. Davis' offer to submit the matter to the Council tonight although it had not been passed on by the Finance Committee. After further discussion it was decided to hold the matter in abeyance as it might meet with opposition as an ordinance would be required and it was more certain of favorable action by the Council if it came up in regular manner. Mr. Frank Fulk addressed another letter to the Commission relative to seourin6 location for the Safeway Stores and again stated that they were fealino their way and letter received was relative to a location on the NE corner of 12th and mine Streets, Lots 7, 8, 9, Block 15, Forrest dill Addition. No action was taken as some members of the Commission said that there might be objections from residents in the neighborhood and that it would be imprudent to make commitment at this time prior to ascertaining post. -war development of highways. Twelfth Street could well be included in auoh development, such as widening said street, which might deter the Commission from granting the request submitted. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. Chairman Attest; '-SecraEar y
