3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GAMETIME, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED SIXTY-ONE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT
6 AND 78/100 DOLLARS ($61,528.78), PLUS APPLICABLE FEES AND
7 TAXES, FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TWO (2)
8 TRIANGULAR SHADE STRUCTURES FOR THE ELEPHANT EXHIBIT
9 AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Zoo has a need to purchase and install shade structures to replace a fallen
12 tree in the Elephant Exhibit; and,
13 WHEREAS, on April 13, 2022, the Little Rock Zoo experienced a severe thunderstorm event that
14 caused a large tree in the Elephant Exhibit to fall that had provided natural shade to the Elephant Exhibit
15 yards; and,
16 WHEREAS, the two (2) Triangular Canopy Shade Structures best meeting these Elephant Exhibit
17 needs and can be purchased through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Omnia Partners Public
18 Sector Contact No. 2017001134 and installed by Gametime, for an amount not to exceed Sixty-One
19 Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty-Eight and 78/100 Dollars.
20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Gametime for the purchase
23 and installation of two (2) Triangular Shade Structures for the Elephant Exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo
24 utilizing the Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Omnia Partners Public Sector, Contract No.
25 2017001134.
26 Section 2. Total cost of this purchase is Sixty-One Thousand,Five Hundred Twenty-Eight and 78/100
27 Dollars ($61,528.78), plus applicable taxes and fee, and funds for this purchase are allocated in the Zoo
28 Upgrades Account 326659-TS65A32.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of
30 this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
31 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
32 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, which are inconsistent
34 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
