3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BAPTIST HEALTH — OCCUPATIONAL
5 HEALTH TO PROVIDE PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS, RANDOM
6 DRUG OR ALCOHOL TESTING AND POST-ACCIDENT DRUG OR
7 ALCOHOL TESTING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the City often requires Pre-Employment Screenings for drug or alcohol abuse, and also
10 engages in random drug or alcohol screenings for employees in appropriate safety sensitive positions, or
11 post-accident screenings for employees that have been in accidents which involve City vehicles; and,
12 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. 1553, the City received only one (1) qualified response so it was
13 determined that Baptist Health—Occupational Health provided the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
14 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Baptist Health —
17 Occupational Health to conduct pre-employment screenings for appropriate random for safety sensitive
18 employees, and post-accident tests for drugs or alcohol, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty
19 Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) for a one (1)-year period, with the possibility of two (2) additional one
20 (1)-year terms.
21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are allocated annually in the City's General Fund Budget,
22 Account No. 102701-61350, and other relevant Department Budgets.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or ad-
25 judication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect
26 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolu-
27 tion.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
29 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
