The proposed use of said property to allow a community health clinic may require the site to be rezoned. A quick glance of the college proper has allowed conditional use permits on R-4
zoned property for some uses and maybe that could be the case here. Clinic (medical, dental or optical) is allowed by right as a commercial use in all commercial zones (C-1, C-2 and
C-3). Staff will review the proposal and follow up with you in the next day or two and provide direction on if the site has to be rezoned or a conditional use permit will work.

Good Morning, I’d like to get a little information about the re-zoning process. Arkansas Baptist College is partnering with AFMC and the AR Department health to open a community health
clinic to 1724 Bishop St. The clinic with serve the community, the students at ABC and the Premier Charter High School. Possible services will include COVID vaccines, physicals, and
minor health issues. Currently, I believe the house is zoned R4.
Can you tell me what zoning code we will need to convert to and what will be the process to convert it, please?
