HomeMy WebLinkAbout15734 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,734 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH UTILITY ASSOCIATES,INC.,FOR A TOTAL 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, ONE 6 HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS ($58,102.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES 7 AND FEES, FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE ROCKET AND RIOT 8 MODEMS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department entered into a contract with Utility Associates, Inc., 12 for Remote Configuration Management AVaiLWeb, including Hardware Warranty and Software Service 13 and Support for the Rocket and Riot Modems,and requests authorization to renew; and, 14 WHEREAS,the service will provide continued support for the modems, allow Internet connectivity 15 inside vehicles,move video from vehicles to the servers and provide GPS monitoring for Computer-Aided 16 Dispatch; and, 17 WHEREAS, it is critical that LRPD be equipped with reliable forms of response intervention 18 equipment to preserve public safety; and, 19 WHEREAS, the total cost of the purchase is Fifty-Eight Thousand, One Hundred Two Dollars 20 ($58,102.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, with funding provided from the Federal Asset Forfeiture 21 Treasury Fund, Account No. 270529-G35148; 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract renewal with Utility Associates, 25 Inc., for Continued Remote Configuration Management AVaiLWeb including Hardware Warranty and 26 Software Support and Service for Rocket and Riot Modems in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Eight 27 Thousand, One Hundred Two Dollars($58,102.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 28 Section 2. Funding for this expenditure will be provided from the Federal Asset Forfeiture Treasury 29 Fud,Account No. 270529-G35148. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
