3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEECO SAFETY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED. SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND, EIGHT
6 HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT AND 66/100 DOLLARS ($176,868.66), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES, FEES AND TRADE-IN CREDITS, FOR THE
8 PURCHASE OF 650 GLOCK 45 MOS 9MM PISTOLS FOR THE LITTLE
9 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department has a need to purchase 650 Glock 45 MOS 9mm
12 Pistols; and,
13 WHEREAS, in 1995, the Little Rock Police Department("LRPD")adopted the Glock 22 .40 Caliber
14 Model as its primary Service Weapon and for the past twenty-seven(27)years it has been a reliable Service
15 Weapon;and,
16 WHEREAS, LRPD replaces its oldest Service Weapons annually; however, replacements have not
17 been purchased in three(3)years;and,
18 WHEREAS, the new version of the Glock 22 is heavier and no longer the best available option for
19 LRPD,and transitioning to the Glock 45 MOS will provide Officers with a smaller caliber,lighter,compact
20 service weapon that is easier to operate effectively and fits with the current duty gear; and,
21 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process pursuant to Bid No. 1707, which generated one (1)bid,
22 Purchasing staff reviewed the bid pricing and determined that Teeco Safety was an acceptable successful
23 bidder for One Hundred Seventy Six Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight and 66/100 Dollars
24 ($176,868.66)plus applicable fees,taxes and trade-in credits.
25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
27 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Teeco Safety for the purchase
28 of 650 Glock 45 MOS 9mm Service Weapons in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-Six
29 Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight and 66/100 Dollars ($176,868.66), plus applicable taxes, fees, and
30 trade-in credits.
31 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Seized Funds Account No. 270529-G35148.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
