HomeMy WebLinkAboutConservation Easment Project Review for MacArthur Park Cistern Arkansas Historic Preservation Program 1100 North Street • Little Rock, AR 72201 • 501.324.9150 ArkansasPreservation.com Asa Hutchinson Governor Stacy Hurst Secretary July 13, 2022 Attention: Stephan Mcateer Executive Director Little Rock, AR Re: Arsenal Building, Cistern south of museum building Little Rock, AR Dear Mr. Mcateer: This letter is in response to the proposed exterior restoration project submitted to the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP). The AHPP holds a perpetual preservation easement on this property which makes us a partner in preservation decisions concerning alterations to this site. From review of the drawings and specs we received describing the new proposed metal fence, it does not appear any significant effect on the overall historic appearance or damage of any historic significant feature of the property will result from this work. In consequence of this finding, I give authorization under the terms of the easement for the submitted exterior restoration project. This letter serves as formal confirmation of that approval for your records. Thank you for being a good steward of this important historic resource and letting us partner with you in its preservation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at katherine.nash@arkansas.gov or 501-683- 6672. Sincerely, Katherine Nash Technical Services and Easement Coordinator Arkansas Historic Preservation Program 1100 North Street Little Rock, AR 72201 katherine.nash@arkansas.gov 501.683-6672
