Home My WebLink About15712 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,712 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO 4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO PURCHASE REAL 5 PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10008 WHISPERING PINE DRIVE FOR AN 6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS 7 ($70,000.00) WITH HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM 8 FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ("City") receives Federal Funds from the HOME 11 Investment Partnership(HOME) Program that can be utilized for certain eligible properties; and, 12 WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase such a property located in Lot 72, Block 0 in the Winter 13 Wood Subdivision, in Little Rock,Arkansas,more particularly known as 10008 Whispering Pine Drive for 14 Seventy Thousand Dollars($70,000.00),plus Survey Fees and Closing Costs;and, 15 WHEREAS,once purchased by the City, this property,which is a single-family home approximately 16 1,114 square-feet,with three(3)bedrooms,one and one half baths,and a carport shall be sold as affordable 17 housing to an eligible low-to-moderate income buyer;and, 18 WHEREAS, at closing, the City will pay the Survey Cost and Closing Fees of approximately One 19 Thousand,Two Hundred Dollars($1,200.00); and, 20 WHEREAS,pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 (West Supp. 2019)a resolution is necessary to 21 accomplish such a transfer of municipal property. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any necessary documents, in a form 25 acceptable to the City Attorney, to authorize the purchase of property located in Lot 72, Block 0 in the 26 Winter Wood Subdivision, more particularly known as 10008 Whispering Pine Drive, in the amount of 27 Seventy Thousand Dollars($70,000.00),plus Survey Fees and Closing Costs. 28 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. G58818 which contains monies 29 provided by the HOME Investment Partnership Program. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
