3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH FTN ASSOCIATES, LTD., IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($125,000.00), TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING CONSULTING
7 SERVICES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK LANDFILL; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, it is desirable and a regulatory requirement to provide Annual Engineering Inspection
11 Reports; design, permitting and installation oversight of new Gas Monitoring Probes at the existing Class
12 1 Landfill; and updating the facility Operating Plan for the existing Class 1 and Class 4 Landfills; and,
13 WHEREAS, FTN Associates, Ltd., was selected through a Statement of Qualifications process, Bid
14 No. 1063,to provide these Engineering Consulting Services.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with FTN Associates,Ltd.,
18 to provide Annual Engineering Inspection Reports, gas monitoring probes, and updated facility Operating
19 Plan in amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars($125,000.00).
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund,
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
