3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION, FOUR
6 HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-
7 FOUR AND 60/100 DOLLARS ($2,458,674.60), FOR THE SWAGGERTY
8 BRANCH DRAINAGE REHABILITATION PROJECT; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Swaggerty Branch Drainage Rehabilitation Project, Project No.
12 01-17-DR-9, Bid No. 1654, and Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive,
13 responsible bid meeting specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
17 Construction Group, Inc., for the Swaggerty Branch Drainage Rehabilitation Project, in an amount not to
18 exceed Two Million, Four Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy-Four and 60/100 Dollars
19 ($2,458,674.60), which is the base bid amount of Two Million, Forty-Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred
20 Ninety-Five and 50/100 Dollars($2,048,895.50),plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. A portion of the funding for this project is from the American Rescue Plan (ARPA),
22 Account No. 271, the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax Funds and the
23 Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
