3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VSP, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
5 ONE HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($160,000.00), TO
6 PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR THE SELF-FUNDED
7 VISION PLAN, FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2022, TO
8 DECEMBER 31, 2022; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City offers Group Vision Insurance for City employees and their dependents;and,
11 WHEREAS,due to the rising costs of a Fully-Insured Vision Plan,the City decided to move to a Self-
12 Funded Plan with VSP providing the Administrative Services only; and,
13 WHEREAS,the basic cost for administration and claims is not to exceed One Hundred Sixty Thousand
14 Dollars($160,000.00)for 2022.
15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with VSP to provide
18 Administrative Services only for the period of January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, for an amount not
19 to exceed One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars($160,000.00).
20 Section 2. Funds for this agreement will be available from a line item for Group Vision Insurance in
21 the 2022 Budget.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
