Home My WebLink About15699 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,699 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DELTA DENTAL INSURANCE, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND 6 DOLLARS ($650,000.00), TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES 7 FOR THE SELF-FUNDED DENTAL PLAN, FOR THE PERIOD 8 BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2022, TO DECEMBER 31, 2022; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the City offers Group Dental Insurance for City employees and their dependents;and, 12 WHEREAS, in October 2020, due to the rising costs of a Fully-Insured Dental Plan,the City decided 13 to move to a Self-Insured Dental Plan with Delta Dental providing the Administrative Services Only; and, 14 WHEREAS, the basic cost of such service to the City is not to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Thousand 15 Dollars($650,000.00)for 2022. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Delta Dental for 19 Administrative Services Only for the period of January 1, 2022,to December 31, 2022, for an amount not 20 to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($650.000.00). 21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement will be available from a line item for Group Dental Insurance in 22 the 2022 Budget. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 4.Repealer.
