3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MUSCO SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT
6 THOUSAND,FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($138,575.00),
7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PROVIDE SPORTS FIELD
8 LIGHTING FOR ONE (1) FOOTBALL FIELD AT SOUTHSIDE PARK;
9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,there is a high demand for lighted sports fields in the City in order to extend the use of
12 recreation facilities into the nighttime; and,
13 WHEREAS, Southside Park field has a long history of neighborhood use and a tradition of football
14 programs and lighting has been desired by park users for many years to provide longer periods of play and
15 safety to the park; and,
16 WHEREAS,Musco Lighting is a light-structure system with Total Light Control for LED technology
17 which provides a guaranteed light level, improved luminaire efficiency, increased durability, and an inno-
18 vative monitoring service that enables scheduling and control of lights remotely;and,
19 WHEREAS,funds are available from the American Rescue Plan Act Funds; and,
20 WHEREAS,the project shall be purchased through the Sourcewell Contract No. 071619-MSL for a
21 cost of One Hundred Twenty Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($120,500.00),plus a 15%contingency, for
22 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars
23 ($138,575.00), plus and applicable taxes and fees.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Musco Sports Lighting,LLC,
27 in an amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($120,500.00) to include a
28 contingency of not more than 15%, for total cost not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand, Five
29 Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($138,575.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for the work required to use
30 a new Light-Structure System with Total Light Control for LED technology which provides a guaranteed
31 light level, improved luminaire efficiency, increased durability, and an innovative monitoring service that
32 enables scheduling and control of lights remotely for one(1)football field at Southside Park.
33 Section 2. Funds for this project are available from the American Rescue Plan Act Funds Account
34 No. 271459-G002AR45A.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
5 resolution.
6 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
7 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
