3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH JANITORIAL DOCTORS
5 INC., IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-ONE
6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($81,900.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR LARGE URBAN PARKS
8 MAINTENANCE FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT;
9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Parks and Recreation Department has a need for maintenance services for the large
12 Urban Park Facilities;and,
13 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, held a Public Bid No. 1698 to obtain competitive bids
14 from qualified Maintenance Service Providers for Large Urban Park Facilities; and,
15 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process with two (2) bids received, it was determined that
16 Janitorial Doctors, Inc., was the lowest bidder for an annual contract awarded for a one (1)-year contract
17 term with three (3) additional one (1)-year renewals for an annual amount not to exceed Eighty-One
18 Thousand,Nine Hundred Dollars($81,900.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Janitorial Doctors, Inc.,
22 for Large Urban Park Maintenance Services within the Little Rock Parks Department Facilities for a one
23 (1)-year contract term and three(3)additional one(1)-year renewals.
24 Section 2. Funds for the Annual Maintenance Services of Eighty-One Thousand, Nine Hundred
25 Dollars($81,900.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, shall be available in the Parks Maintenance Account
26 No. 104523-63211.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
