Home My WebLink About15689 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,689 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH ABM SUPPLY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 5 NINETY-FOUR THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS 6 ($94,305.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF SPECIALIZED EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 8 EQUIPMENT FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE BOMB SQUAD AND THE 9 LITTLE ROCK POLICE SWAT TEAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department Bomb Squad and the Little Rock Police SWAT Team 12 have a need for specialized Emergency Management Equipment; and, 13 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City has become eligible for several Emergency Service 14 Equipment Grants; and, 15 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process it was determined that ABM Supply provided the 16 lowest responsible bid of two(2)bids received for Bid No. 1660; and, 17 WHEREAS, ABM Supply shall provide the following items which are itemized on Exhibit A, 18 attached: Articulating Scope 4-Way; Portable Generator; Suitcase; Laser Rangefinder Class 1; 3D Printer; 19 Spotting Scope 12-40; Laser Rangefinder; and an Individual First Aid Kit, at a total cost not to exceed 20 Ninety-Four Thousand,Three Hundred Five Dollars($94,305.00), plus applicable taxes and fees;and, 21 WHEREAS, 100% of the funding shall be provided through the State Homeland Security Grant 22 Program with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock Grant with Sixty Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars 23 ($60,600.00) from Account No. 270519-G519201; Seventeen Thousand, Four Hundred Five Dollars 24 ($17,405.00) from Account No. 270519-G51P211; and Sixteen Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars 25 ($16,300.00)from Account No. 270529/G52P213. 26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 28 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with ABM Supply for the purchase 29 of specialized Emergency Management Equipment, including Articulating a Scope 4-Way, Portable 30 Generator, Suitcase, Laser Rangefinder Class 1,3D Printer, Spotting Scope 12-40,Laser Rangefinder,and 31 an Individual First Aid Kit as itemized on Exhibit A attached hereto. 32 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the State Homeland Security Grant Program 33 with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock with Sixty Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($60,600.00) [Page 1 of 31 1 from Account No.270519-G51 P211,Seventeen Thousand, Four Hundred Five($17,405.00);from Account 2 No. 270519-G519201; and Sixteen Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars ($16,300.00) from Account No. 3 270529-G52P213, for a total cost not to exceed Ninety-Four Thousand, Three Hundred Five Dollars 4 ($94,305.00),plus applicable taxes and fees. 5 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 6 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 7 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 9 resolution. 10 Section 4. Repealer.
