HomeMy WebLinkAbout15686 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,686 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEECO SAFETY,IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT 5 OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SIX 6 AND 74/100 DOLLARS ($126,406.74), FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7 BALLISTIC VESTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; 8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department(LRPD)be equipped and trained with 11 reliable tools and equipment; and, 12 WHEREAS,LRPD has a need to replace the Ballistic Vests that were purchased in 2017 due to safety 13 expiration; and, 14 WHEREAS,the Quartermaster, in conjunction with Teeco Safety,completed a vest fitting process for 15 seventy-one(71)replacement vests, exterior vest carriers,pouches and rifle grade protection plates for the 16 vest at a total cost of One Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand, Four Hundred Six And 74/100 Dollars 17 ($126,406.74); and, 18 WHEREAS,vendor selection of the National Association of State Procurement Officials Purchasing 19 Agreement, Contract SP-17-0032; 20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Teeco Safety for the purchase 23 of replacement vests, exterior vest carriers, pouches and rifle grade protection plates for the vest at a total 24 cost of One Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand, Four Hundred Six And 74/100 Dollars($126,406.74). 25 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available from the Federal Asset Forfeiture Funds, Account 26 No. 270529-G35148-60030. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
