3 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, IN SUPPORT OF THE GOALS AND
5 OBJECTIVES OF THE SOUTH END IMPROVEMENT PLAN REVISION;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,the South End Steering Committee reviewed the South End Improvement Plan Revision;
9 and,
10 WHEREAS, after months of work by the Steering Committee, the Improvement Plan was reviewed
11 with changes and updates;and,
12 WHEREAS,this Plan(Goals and Objectives)provides a way for both the neighborhood-based groups
13 and others working in and around the neighborhood to advance the desires and meet the needs of the
14 residents; and,
15 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission reviewed the Plan and approved a resolution of
16 support of the South End Improvement Plan Revision.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock does support the vision and goals as
20 expressed in the South End Improvement Plan Revision.
21 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
