3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DELTA FIRE & SAFETY, IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED
6 SEVENTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($76,274.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE
8 HELMETS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

1 1 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department is in need for Firefighting Protective Helmets;and,
12 WHEREAS,the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving
13 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee;and,
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of Houston-Galveston Area Council,
15 Contract EP11-20,for the purchase of 200 Ben 2 Lowrider-Black-EZ Flips Standard 2 Point Chinstrap at a
16 cost of Three Hundred Eighty-One and 37/100 Dollars($381.37)each from Delta Fire& Safety; and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed Seventy-Six Thousand, Two Hundred
18 Seventy-Four Thousand Dollars($76,274.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Delta Fire & Safety for the
22 purchase of 200 Ben 2 Lowrider-Black-EZ Flips Standard 2 Point Chinstrap for the Little Rock Fire
23 Department in the amount not to exceed Seventy Six Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Four Thousand and
24 00/100 Dollars($76,274.00), plus applicable fees and taxes.
25 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the Little Rock Fire Department's General
26 Fund and ACT 833 Special Project, Account No. 210519-500B250.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
