You can decrease the building area with no problems. An increase in building area is very limited
(possibly up to 20%) and must be approved by the Director of Planning & Development.

Hey Monte,
I was at the Board of Director’s meeting on April 5th when our zoning action was approved. I found it on
the City’s website and attached it for reference. Our original site plan that was submitted with the
zoning action showed a 3 story building that had a gross square footage of 86,280 sf. Is this project
bound to that square footage or can it be increased/decreased when submitting for building permit?
