Concerning the alley described as lying in Block 3 of the Fair Ground Addition, running north/south between Calhoun Street and Apperson Street and extending from East 9th Street to East 8th Street, Central Arkansas Water does not have a water line or
other water facilities in said alley. CAW does not anticipate any future installation of a water line or other water facilities in said alley. CAW does not object to the abandonment of said alley and does not require reservation of any easement along or
through said alley.
Please be advised that CAW does have an existing, in-service potable water line extending east/west along the former right of way of East 8th Street between Calhoun Street and Apperson Street.
CAW does have two existing, in-service potable water lines extending east/west along the existing right of way of East 9th Street between Calhoun Street and Apperson Street.
CAW does have an existing, in-service potable water line extending north/south along the existing right of way of Calhoun Street between East 8th Street and East 9th Street.
CAW does have an existing, in-service potable water line extending north/south along the existing right of way of Apperson Street between East 8th Street and East 9th Street.
CAW does intent to operate and maintain these five water lines in-service ad infinitum.

It was good talking with you Friday. As we discussed, the Clinton National Airport intends to construct a public garden at Calhoun Street and 9th Street in downtown Little Rock. Attached is the site plan for the proposed alley closure. This alley to be closed
lies on Block 3 of the Fair Grounds Addition between Calhoun Street and Apperson, extending from 9th Street to 8th Street.
Please let me know if CARKW has or does not have any issues with this closure. Thank you!

Based on the provided exhibits, Summit Utilities has no facilitates in conflict with the proposed
abandonment and has no objection to the proposal.
However, Summit Utilities does have active facilities within the street ROW. CNP recommends calling
Arkansas One Call at 811 or by visiting arkonecall.com to have all utilities located and marked prior
to construction or excavation. If any exposure of CNP facilities occurs, please contact Kevin Clark at
(501) 672-9419 immediately.

Entergy has facilities on the north end of the proposed alley closure.
Although the facilities are idle at this time, we would like to retain the “prescribed easement” if not
recorded for future use.
