Happy to look at this for you!
I took Brian Minyard's position in November and am the new staff for the Little Rock HDC.
I have received your application and the construction of a front yard fence will need to go to the Commission. Luckily,
you've submitted the application just in time for the COA deadline (today) for the next hearing on March 3rd. There is a
$100 filing fee.
If you are able to get all the required information into our office by February 1st, 2022 at 5PM (tomorrow), then we can
get you on the March agenda. Please do not send out any notifications until you have a confirmed hearing date and
location.
Your application is a for a 36" tall wood picket fence, with pickets 1" in width, across the front perimeter of the yard. It
will be constructed 24" back from the property line. The illustration you submitted will be a useful visual to the
commission.
To move forward, I need the following information:
1. How far apart will the pickets be set from each other?
2. Please provide a site plan with the proposed location of the fence, including dimensions. Please include all gate
locations and notate gate heights.

Hi Walter,
Lee and I would like to install a 36” high picket fence around our front yard. The design is a simple one and historically
appropriate to the era of the Allen-Hegarty House. The pickets will ultimately be painted the existing beige trim color of
the house.
My hope is that this qualifies for staff-level approval.
