HomeMy WebLinkAboutHDC2000-026 FINAL ACTIONsk TO City of Little Rock HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION MEMORANDUM Charles Toland, Permits Administrator (Fax # 6863) FROM: V. Anne Guthrie, Historic Preservation Administrator DATE: 27 November 2000 SUBJECT: Permit for 605 East 6th Street This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District Commission (LRHDC) allowing the contractor/property owner of 605 East 6th Street permission to obtain a permit. I understand that the permit is for general maintenance repairs, such as roofing, window repairs and painting. Since the structure is located within the MacArthur Park Historic District, exterior work comes under the LRHDC's jurisdiction. Routine maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic district with administrative approval. The repairs should be performed in conformance to the structure: ♦ the proposed work will NOT alter the existing footprint, outline, profile, composition or change the configuration ♦ there will be NO change to the roof slope and no introduction of new architectural detailing or materials ♦ the work will duplicate the existing in terms of shape, configuration, details, profile and materials As such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a building permit should be approved. If exterior changes or improvements are made that require a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA), staff will be notified and appropriate actions taken for a public hearing. Refer to the application instructions or the Design Review Guidelines: MacArthur Park Historic District for necessity of obtaining a COA.
