Louis Tarlowski Mr. W. H. Marak Mr. Bruce Anderson Mr. Warren Baldwin ########################### Docket No. 1-52 - Biddle Baptist Church, (by Raymond Strickland, 2601 Welch Street, described as lots 20 and 21, block 1, Watkins Addition) zoned "B" Residence District; requesting waiver of yard space in order to move old building and attach to the rear of the new building. Mr. Strickland was present and stated that he would like a waiver of yard space in order to move the old building on the lot and attach it to the rear of the new building. His property is adjoined to pro- perty which is zoned "F" Commercial. He said that there was just room for the building to be attached to the new building. His new building is still under construction. The board members studied the sketch which was attached to Mr. Stricklands petition. There were no protests. Mr. Marak made a motion that the petition be granted; seconded by Mr. Baldwin. The motion carried. ################# There was some discussion on a petition which had been filed in the City Planning Commission meeting by the Oakland Cemetery. The board discussed whether the petition might be a matter for the Board of Ad- justment. Since the Cemetery wanted to use a portion of its property for a Drive -In Theater temporarily in order to raise funds which they need badly, the Board felt that it might be a matter for them rather than the Planning Commission. Hot'revar, it was decided after some length* discussion that the petition should be allowed to go before the Full Com- mission for further action and in the mean -time the Board of Adjustment members were going to check definately so see if they had the power to act on the petition without the property having to be rezoned since it is just for temporary use. A letter from the City Attorney concerning alterations on non- conforming buildings was also read and discussed among the members. The meeting was adjourned. Board of Adjustments Little Rock, Arkansas
