3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GLOVER'S TRUCK PARTS &
5 EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 30CY KNUCKLE BOOM
6 TRUCK FOR THE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION UNIT OF THE
7 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Collection Unit of the Public Works Department is
10 in need of one 30CY Knuckleboom Truck, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5231 for the
12 purchase of the Knuckleboom Truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid
13 meeting minimum specifications was received from Glover's Truck Parts & Equipment
14 in the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and no /100
15 Dollars ($112,608.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of one 30CY knuckle boom truck for the Solid Waste
20 Collection Unit of the Public Works Department from Glover's Truck Parts &
21 Equipment, for the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and
22 no /100 Dollars ($112,608.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account No. 603-
24 220 - 2110 -7060.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
27 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

1 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
5 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
6 of such inconsistency.
