HomeMy WebLinkAbout15652 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,652 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH POLLUTION MANAGEMENT, INC., IN 5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN 6 THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-ONE AND 50/100 DOLLARS 7 ($117,841.50), FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND CIVIL ENGINEERING 8 SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR STORMWATER 9 QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,in 2021 the Little Rock Zoo("Zoo")commissioned a Little Rock Zoo Storm Water Study; 13 and, 14 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid Event No. 979,the City received three(3)bids to complete and enhance 15 the Storm Water Balance Study, with Pollution Management, Inc., being the lowest most responsible 16 bidder; and, 17 WHEREAS,the Zoo requests approval to enter into a contract with Pollution Management, Inc., for 18 Engineering and Construction Services in an amount of One Hundred Seventeen Thousand,Eight Hundred 19 Forty-One and 50/100 Dollars ($117,841.50), to complete and enhance the Zoo's Storm Water Project to 20 identify necessary procedures to achieve improved compliance with environmental discharge standards and 21 net zero water discharge. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Agreement with Pollution Management, 25 Inc., for Engineering and Construction Services in an amount of One Hundred Seventeen Thousand,Eight 26 Hundred Forty-One and 50/100 Dollars ($117,841.50), to complete and enhance the Zoo's Storm Water 27 Project to identify necessary procedures to achieve improved compliance with environmental discharge 28 standards and net zero water discharge. 29 Section 2. Funding for this project is available in the Stormwater Outfall Project Account No. 108659- 30 S65C370. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and IPage 1 of 21 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are 4 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 5 ADOPTED: April 5,2022 6 AT E.
