3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH G & W DIESEL SERVICES, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($350,000.00), FOR ALLISON REBUILT TRANSMISSION
7 INSTALLATION AND REPAIR FOR THE FLEET SERVICES
8 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has requested a contract for Allison Rebuilt Transmission
11 Installation and Repair Services; and,
12 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas held a Public Bid No. 1550 to obtain competitive bids
13 from qualified vendors for the transmission installation and repair; and,
14 WHEREAS,after a competitive bidding process, it was determined that G & W Diesel Services, the
15 only bidder for the Annual Contract with a one (1)-year contract term and two (2), one (1)-year renewals
16 for an annual amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($350,000.00),was qualified to
17 perform the work.
18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an annual one(1)-year contract with not more
21 than two (2), one (1)-year renewal extensions with G & W Diesel Services for an annual budget amount
22 not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($350,000.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated in various Fleet Parts and Maintenance Accounts.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
