Mr. Phillips was present to represent his application. Mr. Phillips stated. that
he would like to leave enough room between the present building and the proposed
structure for a drive through, Iyiro Phillips was asked how many seats he would have
in the auditorium which he replied 108. He would be 72 feet., from property .lane to
12th Street, Mr. L. J. Singleton was also present. He objected to more than one
building on a lot. He said he felt there should. be a time stipulation as to how long
the present building should exist. He said he had no personal objection but jus,
felt that the entire area would be affected by this variance. He sia..d that it would
create a traffic problem on Johnson and that, there would not be enough room for
a fire truck to get through in case of emergency, He said these things should be
taken into consideration because there is another church a few blocks away and
they have a problem with parking.
In executive session, the board made a motion to bring this matter up in the
next scheduled meeti The meeting adjourned at 3:10 P.M.
