CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND REPLACE EROSION CONTROL ASNEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION OR ACCESS. ALL EROSION CONTROL MUST BE IN PLACE AT ALLTIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION.5.IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO USE WHATEVER MEANS NECESSARY TOCONTROL AND LIMIT SILT AND SEDIMENT LEAVING THE SITE. SPECIFICALLY, THE CONTRACTORSHALL PROTECT ALL PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS, STREAMS, CREEKS, STORM DRAIN SYSTEMS ANDINLETS FROM EROSION DEPOSITS.6.ALL DISTURBED SOIL SHALL BE PERMANENTLY SODDED/SEEDED.7.IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE DUST CONDITIONS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS DURING GRADINGOPERATIONS, AND AFTER GRADING OPERATIONS ARE COMPLETED, BUT BEFORE PAVEMENTAND/OR PERMANENT EROSION CONTROL WORK IS STARTED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SPRINKLEGRADING AT INTERVALS APPROVED BY THE CITY.8.CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT AT LEAST ONE VEHICULAR TRACKING PAD, TWO IS OPTIONAL.NOTES1. NO WASHING OUT OF CONCRETE TRUCKS OR WASHING OF SWEEPINGS FROMEXPOSED AGGREGATE CONCRETE INTO STORM DRAINS, OPEN DITCHES, STREETS, ORSTREAMS IS ALLOWED.2. EXCESS CONCRETE IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE DUMPED ON-SITE, EXCEPT IN DESIGNATEDTEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT PIT AREAS.3. ON-SITE TEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT AREAS WILL BE LOCATED AT LEAST 50 FEETFROM STORM DRAINS, OPEN DITCHES, OR WATER BODIES AS DETERMINED IN THE FIELD.4. THE CONCRETE WASHOUT SIGN SHALL BE INSTALLED WITHIN 30 FT. OF THETEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT FACILITY.5. TEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT FACILITIES WILL BE CONSTRUCTED ANDMAINTAINED IN SUFFICIENT QUANTITY AND SIZE TO CONTAIN ALL LIQUID ANDCONCRETE WASTE GENERATED BY WASHOUT OPERATIONS.6. WASHOUT FACILITIES WILL BE CLEANED OUT ONCE THE WASHOUT IS 75% FULL.7. PLASTIC LINING MATERIAL WILL BE MINIMUM OF 10 MIL POLYETHYLENE SHEETING ANDWILL BE FREE OF HOLES, TEARS, OR OTHER DEFECTS.8. WHEN WASHOUT FACILITIES ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR WORK, THE HARDENEDCONCRETE WILL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF. MATERIALS USED TO CONSTRUCTTEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT FACILITIES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE ANDDISPOSED OF.CONCRETE WASTE MANAGEMENTN.T.SGENERAL NOTES1.THE ROCK USED FOR GRAVEL PADS SHOULD BE A MINIMUM 1-TO 3-INCH SIZE.2.THE AGGREGATE SHOULD BE PLACED IN A LAYER 6 INCHES THICK. GENERALLY, THE LARGERTHE AGGREGATE, THE BETTER.3.THE ROCK ENTRANCE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 50 FT. LONG; HOWEVER LONGER ENTRANCESMAY BE REQUIRED TO ADEQUATELY CLEAN TIRES.4.A CULVERT SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE ENTRANCE IF NEEDED TO PREVENTSURFACE WATER FLOWING ACROSS THE PAD.5.NEW ROCK SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE TRACKING PAD WHENEVER THE EXISTING ROCKBECOMES BURIED.IF CONDITIONS ON THE SITE ARE SUCH THAT THE MAJORITY OF MUD IS NOT REMOVED BY THE VEHICLES TRAVELING OVER THE GRAVEL, THEN THE TIRE OF THE VEHICLES SHOULD BE WASHED BEFORE ENTERING A PUBLIC ROAD. WASH WATER SHOULD BE CARRIED AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE TO A SETTLING AREA TO REMOVE SEDIMENT. A WASH RACK MAY ALSO BE USED TO MAKE WASHING MORE CONVENIENT AND EFFECTIVE.6.THE ROCK ENTRANCE PAD NEEDS MAINTENANCE TO PREVENT TRACKING OF MUD ONTOPAVED ROADS. THIS MAY REQUIRE PERIODIC TOP-DRESSING WITH ADDITIONAL ROCK, ORREMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF THE PAD. AREAS USED FOR SEDIMENT TRAPPING MAYALSO NEED TO BE CLEANED OUT. TOP DRESSING OF ADDITIONAL STONE SHALL BE APPLIEDAS CONDITIONS DEMAND. MUD SPILLED, DROPPED, WASHED OR TRACKED ONTO PUBLICROAD, OR ANY SURFACE WHERE RUNOFF IS NOT CHECKED BY SEDIMENT CONTROLS, SHALLBE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.BURY GEOTEXTILE A DEPTH OF8" MIN.
