Dear Mr. Moore and Staff,
I am writing to you on behalf of MEO, LLC, whose members are Sonia Schaefer and Christina Basham.
They own Boulevard Bread Bistro and Boulevard Bakery in SoMa. They are supporters of several
neighborhoods in Little Rock, including the Capitol View neighborhood.
Capital View is where both Sonia and Christina reside. They are approximately three blocks away from
228 Vernon Street, a two-story brick house that presently is maintained for long term leasing. There is
parking on the street and in the rear yard adjacent to the brick home.
As stated in the application, Sonia and Christina would like to use the back twenty-five feet of property
to create a place of convenience for their aging parents. The building would most likely be used also, for
leasing, similar to the two-story home on the property in the absence of their parents inhabiting the
dwelling.
As part of this CUP application, we are asking for a variance, because the owners do not live at 228
Vernon Street.
