Giles Esq (SGiles@ddh.law) Subject:FW: Amazon Annexation Date:Monday, June 28, 2021 10:06:06 AM Attachments:image001.png image002.png This was the email chain you are asking about. The Land is currently not zoned. The City default zoning is R-2, Single Family with annexation. The Land Use Plan shows Industrial for this land. The land within the City is Zoned I-3 , Heavy Industrial. As noted before we (Staff) believe either I-2, Light Industrial or I-3 Heavy Industrial could be appropriate. But we need something on the zoning so we can legal advertise the zoning part with the Annexation (no later than Friday July 2, 2021). Thanks Walter Malone, AICP Planning Manager From: Malone, Walter Sent: Tuesday, June 22, 2021 11:21 AM To: 'Stephen R. Giles' Subject: FW: Amazon Annexation I confirmed with our clerk’s Office and with our Development Officials, that with the language of ‘Plat’ and its usage in this case a survey is needed. But we can move forward with what we have. I just will need the survey before it goes to the Little Rock Board of Directors. This land is not currently zoned. So I need to know what zoning classification the applicant would want. Based on the zoning and Land Use pattern, we think either I-2, Light industrial or I-3 Heavy Industrial would be appropriate. Please let me know if all the property owners are good with the proposed zoning. Thanks Walter From: Malone, Walter Sent: Monday, June 21, 2021 3:49 PM To: 'Stephen R. If not and we have to get a survey, that’s what we will do ASAP. Stephen R. Giles Counsel, Dover Dixon Horne PLLC 425 W. Walter – Attached is a copy of the current Arkansas law on requirements for filing a Petition to Annex by 100% of the property owners. There is no mention a requirement to include a map or actual survey of the land to be annexed, just an “accurate description of the relevant properties”. I spoke with Bryan Day at the Port and he asked if you would email to us a copy of the map that you are referring to in a previous successful annexation. We want to make sure we get this right.
