Please find enclosed the application for the Conditional Use Permit. On July 18, 2016, the Little Rock
Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit to allow City of Faith Prison Ministries to
continue operating our facility at 1401 S. Garfield St. This will be our 51h such application since our
inception in 1996.
Since that time, there has been no change in the physical operation of the facility with the exception of
an increase in our home confinement population (those living in their home communities across the
state and not at 1401 S. Garfield). Our current in-house population runs consistently in the mid-60s with
the home confinement population numbering in the 80s.
We will find ourselves in the contract renewal process with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in
approximately 3 years. In the past, our conditional use ran concurrently with our BOP contract.
However, our last contract ran 7 years instead of the normal 5 which was an unusual occurrence. I do
not foresee that happening again.
I will keep you informed of the steps I have taken to ensure compliance with the Conditional Use Permit
process.
