To Whom it Concerns,
This is an email to tell you that we are VERY against the proposed development planned for 13701 Kanis
Rd to be rezoned for mixed use.
We beg you to evaluate the traffic coming in and out of Kanis from Cooper Orbit Road to Gamble Rd. It
is even now, sometimes impossible to get safely out of Woodlands Edge subdivision at any time, let
alone during morning and evening traffic for work.
It has become worse since the large apartment complex was completed on Kanis and there are 2 other
subdivisions planned across from Baker Elementary. Now you’re wanting to add a whole other terribly
dangerous element to the traffic in this area.
The traffic from Woodland Edge and Taylor Park and this proposed development in between would be a
complete disaster!
This should not be approved and we implore you to do radical testing on this traffic issue before
proceeding forward.
On top of that, the overdevelopment of this area would more than likely cause flooding on Panther
Branch which would affect Woodlands Edge and Brodie Creek.
Please, please give thoughtful and full consideration to what could happen if this proceeds forward.
Please take the time to drive these entrances out of these subdivisions onto Kanis at different times of
the day so that you may see for yourself how dangerous this could be. Please study the impact to
Panther Branch and surrounding communities.
