RE: proposed alley closure - 1117 Rose St Dater Aug 25, 2020, 7:17:30 AM c. houseboatl09@yahoo.com Cc- Floriani, Vince'V l rianiC6.1ittlerock. o Central Arkansas Water (CAW) has been asked this date to comment on a possible closure of the existing 15 foot alley located adjacent to the northeast corner of 1117 Rose Street, Little Rock. The alley closure length is 42.7 feet as depicted on the survey map provided by Brooks Surveying. CAW does not have any utility lines in this section of the alley and does not opposite the closure of this alley portion. Thank you, Jim Ferguson, P.E. CAW has an existing public water main located in the alley. If the alley is closed, a 15 foot wide utility easement would have to be created overlaying the closure. A building or other structure could not be built within the easement that would obstruct CAW from maintaining the water line. A typical driveway would not be considered to obstruct our access to the water line. Please be advised, if you perform any activity over the water line causing it to leak or break, CAW will make the repair but you will be billed for that expense. Based on the comments above, CAW does not object to the closure of the alley. Thank you, Jim Ferguson, P.E. Director of Engineering Central Arkansas Water 5011.377'.1298 office jim.fer u n(5Pcarkw.c m
